John Pujajangka - Piyirn Catholic School caters for 45 students from Kindergarten to Year 10. Adult Education courses are also offered through TAFE and tutoring is available for community people studying externally with Notre Dame University - Broome Campus.
At present the school is heavily involved in developing school-based policies / curriculum that acknowledges both western and Aboriginal cultures.
The school encourages community involvement in the teaching of Aboriginal culture and language. A second Walmajarri (local Aboriginal language) CD-ROM has been developed by the children and community and will be available for use by the end of August 2000.

Besides four well-equipped classrooms, the school also has a library, canteen, home economics, adult education and manual arts room. Computers are located in each classroom as well as in the Adult Education room at the ratio of 1 computer for every 4 students.
