Dear families and friends
Time is flying by. It is hard to believe it is already past the halfway point of Term 3.
We have all been working very hard to improve attendance at John Pujajangka-Piyirn Catholic School. Our goal is to have every student in community to come to school every single day Monday - Friday. Listen out for Mr Wilder on school pick up from 7.20am to 7.35am. All students who have had 100% attendance for the week will receive a certificate and prize. Photos of our 100% attenders can be seen proudly displayed at the store. Well done to all of the students, families and carers.
A reminder of school hours:
Breakfast Club: 7.20am -07.40am
PP – 6: 7.40am - 1.45pm
Kindergarten: 7.40am - 11.30am
Confirmation
Confirmation will take place on Saturday 19th September at Balgo Church with Monsignor Paul. Come to Balgo to support the children receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
School Visits
This term we have had visits to the school by the Trachoma Team, Hearing Health and the Allied Health team to support student health and wellbeing.
Covid 19
We are encouraging students to maintain good hygiene practices whilst they are at school. Remember if children are sick, they must remain at home until they feel better.
OP Shop
The OP shop will be open every Thursday, 2-3pm. The Mulan Store is open for cash out Thursday afternoon. No laybys!!
Take care and God Bless

Welcome back to Term 2 Primary A!
Mr Wilder and Miss Sue really missed you and we are so glad to be back and seeing each of you everyday at school. This term we are going to do many exciting things!
We are going to read together lots of books, the first one is about a Wombat and what he does everyday and it’s called Diary of a Wombat.
Last week we made pancakes, we made, we cooked them, we flipped them and best of all we ate them.
In Huff and Puff we are learning to play tunnel ball, it’s really hard to get the ball through our legs sometimes, but we are going to do our best. Mr Wilder helps us and makes it fun.
We are writing our numbers as far as we can go, maybe even a million and learning to write them too. We are practising saying the days of the week, seasons of the year and months of the year. Miss Sue uses songs to help us learn.
We are painting, drawing and colouring lots of pictures this term. Mr Wilder and Miss Sue look forward to seeing you everyday at school.

Senior Class •
Welcome back to Term 2 Seniors at JPP. We have been working hard at school and learning new and exciting things.
In reading we have been looking at the following topics, Icebergs, Earth and the Bermuda Triangle…strange things happen there!
Information Reports are what we are learning to write and picking something that is of interest to us, using the correct headings and researching information. What are you going to research?
2x2, 3x3, 4x4 we need to practice our tables and try to learn them off by heart. Miss Kim will quiz us on how quick we can learn them. Now there’s a Maths challenge. Adding numbers and taking them away will also be fun!
Geography teaches us about our world and our place in it. We have been taking care of our school environment and looking at ways we can make Mulan a more sustainable community.
Computers are helping us to record information that we have been learning about in the classroom. This will be a skill we will have for when we leave Mulan and go to high school.
One of the best days of the weeks is Wednesday, we have started cooking for the entire school and have been creating yummy and healthy meals for everyone. Our favourite so far is pizzas. We made the dough ourselves! There has been lots of fun and laughter in senior class this past term, and we are looking forward to lots more learning for the rest of this semester.

Gospel Reading •
"For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son
that whosoever believes in him
should not perish but may have
eternal life.
Indeed, God did not send the Son
into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be
saved through him."
John 3:16-17
